In November of 1976, Country Cupboard Natural Foods opened the doors in a small, newly remodeled gas station barely 1000sq ft. At the time only a small portion of the retail venue was dedicated to healthy foods and supplements. The other portion of the business featured crafts and plants for sale.
In the 1990s, the locally owned business flourished with the growing awareness of alternative medicine. In 1997, the owners expanded the location from 1500 sq ft to approximately double the size. This is the current Country Cupboard Natural Foods that exists today.
We now sell a wide variety of goods, including natural, Organic, Gluten-Free Foods, Tinctures, Bulk Herbs, Essential oils, and Healthy Snacks. We offer an excellent selection of over 6,000 premium health products, including a full line of Supplements, Sports Nutrition, Health and beauty, Vitamins, and Herbs.
Country Cupboard is still locally owned, and family-operated to this day. This year, 2024 we will be celebrating 48 years of serving the River Valley.
